Health Care Software Integration

For over 25 years, HL7 has enabled the delivery of clinical and administrative data between different software applications, running on different operating system and software platforms, often supplied by different healthcare providers.

How does the Pathology department know you need a blood test? How does your GP know your test result? How does the Rheumatology consultant know the last time your visited A&E?  How do you get all these different systems, which the different clinicians use, to talk to each other?

Health Level 7 is how.
